MARKUS HARTEL.
he is the type of photography i like the best. urban. so far my posts have been about the streets, urban life. you can tell that is what im into. this man shoots all the things i enjoy to look at. he finds normal people and scenes that are intriguing in the city. you will be seeing more of markus on my blog.

mickey smith.
when i was talking to my aunt on the phone i asked who her favorite photographer was and she said mickey smith. when i got to look at some of her works all i saw was books, books, and more books. at first i did not understand why she would take only pictures of books. but then i realized that it was kinda a cool concept because there were so many DIFFERENT books to take pictures of. this one was my favorite.

underexposed.

out of all the fifty pictures i took on this assignment, my most underexposed picture was from the pictures i got when i was messing around with my camera in class. i thought this one was the best example of underexposure because it was so dark.

overexposure.

This picture of my book was definately way too bright of an exposure.

bracketing.

welllll, this picture is an example of a good exposure. Although it's not the most in focus picture, it has a good histogram. Once I get my tripod, then my camera shake will stop.

ayeyou.

This photo Thompson Bryant, and I think it is realll cool! haha this picture catches my eye because I believe it shows what the outside, urban world has taken a toll on young children. A couple years ago you wouldn't have seen this shot anywhere. As more people get exposed to the "g" lifestyle i believe that more children will adapt to it, just like this boy. This is something new, and there will be more of it in the future.

ehhhh my first photo....
hahaha well i definately need more work on using my camera. all my pictures were pretty blurry, i need some help for that! i was fine when i was using the computer to edit my images, and i uderstand. i know as the time goes on in this class i know that i will get better and more accurate.

This picture is sickwitit. This is an example of a type of photography I like best. I love to look at photos with an urban flair to them. Subways, grafitti, city lights, street signs and people. If a photo has those things in it I really take a lot of interest in it. Although this doesn't have as much of urban touch to it, I like thats it's just a basic photo of someone in their everyday life. The man is someone you could see anywhere and the dog is just a good touch.

JAPAN

This picture is by Dorthea Lange. I like this picture because it shows children of a different ethnicity showing their dedication to America. I think the concept is different because noone has ever shown this before, plus the children are really really cute!
