what is the most important componant when it comes to photographing?
tripod-yeah kinda
no it is A PLAN.
when i reshot my high key and low again i made myself a plan and it worked perfectly. last friday i went out to shoot for my portraits... i didnt make a plan i just went at it. when i came back to school and uploaded them i decided they suck. so i went again once again without a plan...and no surprise was a failure. today in class i had nothing to work on which is way disappointing. then i thought when i have a plan all ready it usually helps me so much more. i wrote out each of the people i am going to shoot and where i am going to shoot them, what postitions and the light. i also planned out the type of day and how long i am going to spend with the person.so today during class i made a whole plan for what exaclty i am going to do. i think this is a must have when you start your project.i will no longer shoot out on a limb i will plan it out and think about what i am doing.

something different

this photograph was taken by john arsenault.
this picture was really interesting to me. mostly because of all the mystery it holds. its something that i wouldnt usually look at. i love the lighting in this picture where its dark around his head and on his neck and hair it has a bright light. the tatoo is the main focus. i love that i dont know anything about the man, only from what i notice about his tatoo. i also really think that if this picture wasnt as sharp it wouldnt be as cool. all the details are really nice. this picture is another photo that focus is everything.

we're playin basketball...we love that basketballl.

this photo was taken by Jerry Lodriguss.
i love sports photography.
i dont know if any of these sports photos are realistic. but they are so interesting.
i love how people taking pictures of sports events or sports elements always get the players or the moments and the perfect time. when i look through pictures of sports, especially basketball they get me so pumped or inspired. also even if the pictures are just of athletes it amazes me how they can get the athlete to do different poses. and even when its a player with just a simple basketball in hand they can do so much. this particular picture makes you feel like your playing in the game going up for the rebound. i love being involved.

high key and low key.

well these are my photos from my high key and low key shooting experience.
overall i am pretty happy about them, i think they are better then i expected them to actually turn out. i like almost all of them except my last two. the one i dislike the most is probably the one of my sheets, it looks really gray to me and i didnt get to spend the most time to playu with levels and curves. i also dont like the light switch one becuse its way off center but i love how its actually focused. the one of the tire is cool i think but it needs more work, and i didnt do any work on that one. the four that i printed are my favorites. i love my purse one its really dark, and the different textures in the shot make it cool. i also like my other black one because you cant really tell what it is so it holds some mystery. my two high key ones are cool as well. my shutters are very white and where the light shows thru is perfect white and i like that. my one of my wall is like boring but i think its interesting at the same time because noone knows what it is. i am very happy but im going to go in and twirk a couple after they are graded!
